Camogie

Our Camogie team was formed in 2007, and was the first competitive camogie side in continental Europe. Today, our camógs are the most successful on the continent.

They won the European Camogie Championship ten times between 2010 and 2022, including two separate three-in-a-row streaks. This achievement remains unmatched among European clubs.

The Brussels camógs have been extremely successful over the years in bringing newcomers into the fold and coaching them to a level that allows them to pull on the red jersey and compete for Belgium in the tournaments.

We have a large panel of players, diverse in both skill level and nationality – yet the team has been consistently successful while introducing these new players to the great game of Camogie. Like all Craobh Rua teams, Camogie is inclusive, and new players are welcome at all times to come down and give it a try.

So what is Camogie?

Camogie is a traditional Irish team sport played by  around 100,000 women in Ireland and worldwide. The game has many transferrable skills with hockey and lacrosse, and camogie players score by striking the ball over the bar to score one point or under the bar, past the goalie and into the goal to score 3 points.

Get in touch, or come down to training and give it a try!
